FEATURES AND CLASSIFICATIONS
R30155 / N-155 is recommended for parts which should possess good strength and corrosion resistance up to 1500°F. It is used in numerous aircraft applications such as tail cones and tailpipes, exhaust manifolds, combustion chambers, afterburners, turbine blades and buckets, and bolts.
Valve steel is a subbranch of heat resistant steels, which is a special material for processing the vent valve & intake valve of combustion engines. This steel material is always under the high temperature 450 ~ 900℃ and also in the operating conditions of 3000~7000kPa explosion pressure. It longly stands up to the gas-fired high temperature corrosion, scouring of gasoline, diesel and also friction from valve seats. Hence, the valve steel material must have enough heat resistance, high temperature resistance corrosivity, inoxidizability, abrasive resistance and impact resistance under the highest working temperature.
Valve steel (gas valve steel) is suit for fabricating different types of valves. To improve the abrasive resistance and corrosion resistance, surface modified process can be used, such as surface alumetizing, bead welding hard alloy. Based on the pattern of organization, Valve steel is divided into martensitic type and austenitic type.
