MATERIAL TECHNICAL DATASHEET - AMS 6515 & Maraging 350

MATERIAL CATEGORY: 18% Nickel and 12.0% Cobalt strengthened steel

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The
alloy is usually produced by VIM followed by electroslag refining (ESR) / VAR if necessary for special purpose.
Bars and, where applicable, forgings are subjected to ultrasonic examination based on the different levels according to the buyers' requirements.
Bars are usually supplied black/bright in the annealed condition.
Final heat treatment - solution treatment / QT
Maraging 350 steels are iron-nickel alloys with absence of carbon and have metals such as molybdenum, cobalt, titanium and aluminum.
The alloys have ultra-high strength, superior toughness characteristics and weldability. Typically, these alloys are used in aerospace applications, machinery and tooling and ordnance components and fasteners.
The density of maraging 350 steel is 8.0 g/cm3.
