APPLICATION FIELD
Alloy maraging 1.6359 is an age-hardenable iron-nickel steel. Alloy C250 combines ultra-high strength (1750MPa), superior toughness, readily machinable in pre-aged condition, excellent transverse properties and resistance to crack propagation. maraging C250 is used for missile and ejector systems, slat tracks and drive shafts.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The alloy is usually produced by VIM followed by electroslag refining (ESR) / VAR if necessary for special purpose. Bars and, where applicable, forgings are subjected to ultrasonic examination based on the different levels according to the buyers' requirements.
Bars are usually supplied black / bright in the annealed condition.
Final heat treatment - solution treatment
Sheet steel via cold rolled: T1.0 - 6mm X W10 - 400mm X L1000 - 2000mm
Steel strip via cold rolled: T0.5 - 3mm X W5 - 200mm X L (or in coil form)
Forging piece: stepped shafts, other different shapes based on OEM.
