AMS 5636 (UNS S30200) is an Austentic Stainless Steel of Alloy Elements 18Cr-9Ni, It is available in form of Round bar, S30200 Wire rod Cold drawn, hot rolling, Heat treatment. All of these materials conform to Military standard, nuclear power.

MELTING PROCESS & APPLICATION
This alloy is generally smelt in Basic Electric Furnace (EAF, AOD) or VIM + Electroslag remelting (ESR). For a purpose of superior quality, it should be smelt via technology of vacuum refining or by agreement. It is suitable for applications such as high tensile shafts, bolts and nuts, gears, pinions spindles and so on.
