APPLICATIONS
These products have been used typically for parts on which the amount of machining warrants the use of a free-machining grade of steel requriing corrosion resistance similar to the 18-8 type steel, and which will be subjected to high temperatures during facrication or in service.
MELTING PROCESS & APPLICATION
This alloy is generally smelt in Basic Electric Furnace (EAF, AOD) It is suitable for applications such as high tensile shafts, bolts and nuts, gears, pinions spindles and so on.
