MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS - Grade ASTM A538 & AMS 6514
MATERIAL CATEGORY- 18% Nickel and Cobalt straightened steel
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The alloy is usually produced by VIM followed by VAR.
Bars and, where applicable, forgings are subjected to ultrasonic examination based on the different levels according to the buyers' requirements.
Bars are usually supplied black / bright in the annealed condition.
Final heat treatment - solution treatment + Ageing.

ASTM A538 steels are iron-nickel alloys with absence of carbon and have metals such as molybdenum, cobalt, titanium and aluminum. The alloys have ultra-high strength, superior toughness characteristics and weldability. Typically, these alloys are used in aerospace applications, machinery and tooling and ordnance components and fasteners.
