Specifications 2.4631 datasheet, 2.4631 Chemical, 2.4631 properties from steelmaking, hot forging, hot rolling, heat treatment, cold working. We also possess advanced precision machining equipments for further processing.
MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS DATA SHEET - W-Nr 2.4631
MATERIAL CATEGORY: Nickel-chromium based superalloy
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The alloy is usually produced by AOD / VOD /VIM followed by electroslag refining (ESR) / VAR if necessary for special purpose.
Bars and, where applicable, forgings are subjected to ultrasonic examination based on the different levels according to the buyers' requirements.
Bars are usually supplied black/bright in the annealed condition.
Final heat treatment - solution treatment / QT
A nickel-chromium alloy similar to alloy 75 but made precipitation hardenable by additions of aluminium and titanium.
The alloy has good corrosion and oxidation resistance and high tensile and creep-rupture properties at temperatures to 1500ºF (815ºC).
Used for gas-turbine components (blades, rings, discs), bolts, tube supports in nuclear generators, exhaust valves in internal combustion engines.

HEAT TREATMENT PRACTICE
Annealing - it should be annealed at 1079°C for about 8 hours and air cooled.
Heat treatment is only suitable for specific grades of stainless steel. When heat treating a stainless the hardening temperatures, including rate of heating, cooling and soaking times will vary due to several factors such as the shape and size of each component. Other considerations during the heat treatment process include the type of furnace, quenching medium and work piece transfer facilities. Please consult with the heat treatment provider for whole guidance on heat treatment of stainless steel grades. We are delighted to help to work with you the special heat treatment based on your special requirements.
